An expressive interior design and a compelling menu make this stylish bistro a landmark restaurant on the city’s gastro map.
The redecoration scheme and the new concept of the Wrocław’s PURO Hotel restaurant has been inspired by several features echoing the true character of the city and its evenAul and fascinating history. One of them is colour glazed tiling found in many Twenties and Thirties tenement houses and shops. Glazed tiles were used to decorate stairwells, clad ceramic stoves or finish building elevations.
Due to their distinct form these diverse, colourful tiles became a theme of the project and an intriguing point of reference for Wrocław seen in a new, local perspective.
Traditional colour schemes used for tiles in the past such as burgundy, marine, blue, azure and boIle green bring out a stimulating contrast and complement the white ceramic cladding of the bar counter and the natural oak veneer of the walls. The entire place is complete with simple, unpretentious fitout and furniture featuring the classic Domus Artek chairs and a communal 12 seat table with ample room to have breakfast and lunch, entertain a large party or work in style and comfort.
The colourful tile theme is also incorporated into the bistro’s visual identity.
