Crop Circle

The aim of our project was to imagine a new settlement in a city like Hong Kong trying to provide a reading on innovative urban and founded on the idea of ​​sustainability and low impact. The idea, provocatively, was to imagine almost unchanged zero, creating a large green space accessible which did not affect in any way the current landscape. All share edificatoria, unless of very small volumes, is subjected creating large depressions. The whole area will be generated greenery grown to offer a perspective to the whole eco area.I hypothesized craters vary in size and are home to mixed use of micro-city indipendenti.Partendo becoming the first top level we have access, accompanied by collective spaces with various kinds of meeting spaces, sports facilities and cultural all directly related to the share of the agricultural park. The lower levels are intended for housing, offices and retail space. Mainly the faces exposed to the south will be held for the residential portion.

Another design feature is the waterfront characterized by small circular piers reaching out to the sea we will have the presence of a small marina. The circular docks located along the entire front of the sea will be allocated to sports activities on the water, in pools of sea water or docking points for public transportation on water. We planned to connect to the existing network of underground changing the existing path and the creation of a station will also house a station for buses and a park and ride. The station is located within the space remaining is generated by one of the outputs of the bypass existing so mitigated as much as possible to the environment and be immediately accessible from the street outside.

The internal vehicular traffic is limited to a large artery that serves only to allow access from outside the district through the large multi-level parking lots located at the edge of the settlement. From the parking there is direct access to a system of light transport type PRT.

Another similar system, placed at a lower level, and independent from the first, will serve for the transport of goods, but also the transport of emergency. Along the vertical connection systems will be willing also shafts of service for the collection of waste. Once collected on the lower level of the buildings will then be transported with an automated storage places. Along the same we have the lift shafts the necessary technical facilities for each building. The system of waste, discharges and all centralized technological systems, will therefore be confined to the smallest share of the buildings and walk through independent wide shafts that will also allow the maintenance and possible expansion of the system.

Lo scopo del nostro progetto era di immaginare un nuovo insediamento in una città come Hong Kong cercando di fornire una lettura urbana innovativa e fondata sull’idea della sostenibilità e del basso impatto. L’idea, provocatoriamente, è stata quella di immaginare quasi invariata la quota zero, creando un grande spazio verde fruibile che non modificasse in alcun modo il panorama attuale. Tutta la quota edificatoria, a meno di piccolissimi volumi, è sottoposta creando delle grandi depressioni. Tutta l’area verde generata sarà coltivata in modo da offrire una prospettiva ecosostenibile all’intera area.I crateri ipotizzati sono di varie dimensioni e ospitano funzioni miste divenendo delle microcittà indipendenti.Partendo dal primo livello dall’alto abbiamo gli accessi corredati da spazi collettivi di varia natura con spazi di aggregazione, spazi sportivi e culturali tutti legati direttamente alla quota del parco agricolo. I livelli inferiori sono destinati a residenze, uffici e spazi commerciali. Prevalentemente la facce esposte verso sud saranno destinate alla quota residenziale.

Altro elemento progettuale è il waterfront caratterizzato da piccoli moli circolari protesi verso il mare avremo la presenza di un piccolo porto turistico. Le banchine circolari disposte lungo tutto il fronte del mare saranno destinate ad attività sportive sull’acqua, a piscine di acqua di mare o punti di attracco per il trasporto pubblico su acqua. Abbiamo previsto di collegarci alla rete attuale della metropolitana con la modifica del tracciato esistente e con la creazione di  una stazione che ospiterà anche una stazione per i bus ed un parcheggio di interscambio. La stazione è collocata all’interno dello spazio residuo generato da una delle uscite della tangenziale esistente in modo da mitigarsi quanto più possibile al contesto ed essere immediatamente raggiungibile dalla strada esterna.

La viabilità carrabile interna è limitata ad una grande arteria che serve solo a consentire l’accesso dall’esterno al quartiere attraverso dei grandi parcheggi multilivello posizionati a margine dell’insediamento. Dai parcheggi si accede direttamente ad un sistema di trasporto leggero di tipo PRT.

Un altro sistema similare, posto ad un livello inferiore ed indipendente dal primo, servirà al trasporto di merci, ma anche il trasporto di emergenza. Lungo i sistemi verticali di collegamento saranno disposti anche dei cavedi di servizio adibiti alla raccolta dei rifiuti. Una volta raccolti sul livello più basso degli edifici saranno poi trasportati con un sistema automatico in luoghi di stoccaggio. Lungo gli stessi cavedi avremo la risalita degli impianti tecnici necessari ad ogni edificio. Il sistema dei rifiuti, degli scarichi ed i sistemi tecnologici tutti centralizzati,saranno dunque confinati alla quota più bassa degli edifici e cammineranno indipendenti attraverso cavedi ampi che consentiranno anche la manutenzione e gli eventuali ampliamenti del sistema.
