The Project was initially considered with the relation that it will have with its environment as well as with its function as a business hotel. The section of the functions go from floor to floor starting with car parking and storages on the basement floors, then health club, then ballroom floor, then lobby floor, meeting floor and the hotel floors. This is because the intimacy is important for the guests. The starting floor of the hotel rooms are placed upper than the ground level where public spaces are distributed. What is meant by environment is, both the physical and social environment. As it is placed in the housing area, one of the essential parts was to bring out the commercial side of the hotel. In a building, the facade provides how the dialogue between the environment and the building would be. The use of materials such as laminated glass, aluminium composites, natural stone parts on the lower floors and their distribution over the whole building are depending on the wanted dialogue. Also it is important to consider the respect to its environment, the harmony with it and provide the energy efficiency as well. In order to do that, the dark-natural colors were chosen to be used as the facade elements. It was important how the building is produced according to the sun. The North
facade has the least amount of gaps. However, the other facades have some vertical and horizontal aluminium composite elements distributed around so that a temperature and a sunlight control could be provided with a different style at the facades. This movement of the facades also defines the hotel room floors. A “C” shaped composite element embraces the hotel floors. The floors that are left under that “C” are the parts that are public spaces. The sunlight was important during the design process. It was wanted to get the sunlight to the basement floors. This is achieved by the void garden. The sunlight could come even to the ballroom floor. With a skylight above the inside pool, the sunlight could even get into the health club floor.
