When tasked to relocate UOB Kay Hian, one of Asia’s largest brokerage firms, it was not an easy feat since they have been comfortable in their previous location for almost 2 decades. Oblivious of nowadays office fit-out standards the challenge for us was to dust their understanding of work environments and polish their culture and nature. With the approval and directive of the upper management we went on to declutter persisting habits, revitalised their mindset, bringing a refreshed spirit to their new office space.

Considering UOB KH’s background, culture and the long term stay at their previous headquarter, the relocation was new and exciting and naturally the project committee that was involved in the decision making had many questions and ideas. Considering and consolidating the many wish lists, plus managing their expectations and at the same time keeping an eye at project development, sticking to a stringent timeline was compulsory. Prior to the relocation we were also asked to prepare the staff for the imminent move. Over 400 employees had to be briefed and guided in relevant processes, detailed logistics of all procedures were laid out, ensuring employees physical and mental safety resulting in a smooth transition into the new location.
