Ghafouri residential home is located in Eidgah neighborhood. It is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Mashhad, which was built almost 100 years ago (the Qajar era). According to the owner's remarks there is no information from the constructor and the time of construction of the house but according to local this house was made by Jews. It was used as a residential home by the beginning of the construction until 1981 and was later abandoned for 18 years and is now owned by the municipality.
The Ghafouri house is located in the area where most of luxury hotels are located in Mashhad. On the other hand most pilgrims and travelers tend to buy precious stones and ornaments, which has led that many stores are created in this area, but most of them not luxury stores and they have no space qualities. Regarding these issues, we decided to turn the project into a precious stones store, which includes a coffee shop to attract people to the project.
