晋江市位于中国福建东海之滨，在唐宋时期便是海上丝绸之路的起点之一。会展中心的选址在城市新区，位于博览片区的城市中轴线上。设计结合城市设计，设置了一条贯穿南北向的室外中廊作为连接展厅、会议中心和室外展场的中央步道。中央步道的两侧分布着登录厅、门厅、信息服务亭等中级尺度空间。为了提高观展过程的舒适性和趣味性，走廊两侧设置了浅水池、绿植景观和座椅等设施，营造出自然亲切的空间尺度，并调节了中廊空间的微气温。中央步道还是一个活动聚集带，为城市的各种活动如花卉市场、旅游节、音乐节等提供了舒适的公共空间。

Jinjiang City is located on the coast of the East China Sea in Fujian Province, China, and it was one of the starting points of the maritime Silk Road in the Tang and Song dynasties. The exhibition center is located in the new area of the city, on the city axis of the Expo area. Combined with the urban design, an outdoor corridor running through the north-south direction is set as the central walkway connecting the exhibition hall, the conference center and the outdoor exhibition hall. On both sides of the central trail, there are intermediate scale spaces such as login hall, foyer and information service kiosk. In order to improve the comfort and interest of the exhibition, shallow pools, green plants and seats are set on both sides of the corridor to create a natural and friendly space scale and adjust the micro temperature of the corridor space. The central trail is also an activity gathering zone, providing comfortable public space for various activities in the city, such as flower market, tourism festival, music festival, etc.

室外中廊的设计不仅提高了展馆的交通效率，也减少了工程造价及运维费用。中廊顶棚的造型是整个会展中心设计的亮点。顶棚造型为两条高低起伏、彼此交错的轻盈飘带，展现了晋江作为古代“海上丝绸之路”起点的文化气质。支撑顶棚的Y形柱底部尺寸为2000*1200，设计通过正面和侧面的凹槽对构件的尺度做了进一步的划分，并展现了Y型柱的力量感，同时利用内侧的凹槽处隐藏落水管。建筑其他部分的造型则采用了折板的语汇，透露出简洁的现代感，与生态走廊柔美的形态相互映衬。

The design of the outdoor corridor not only improves the traffic efficiency of the exhibition hall, but also reduces the project cost and operation and maintenance costs. The shape of the ceiling of the middle corridor is the highlight of the design of the exhibition center. The shape of the ceiling is two undulating and interlaced light ribbon, which shows the cultural temperament of Jinjiang as the starting point of the ancient “maritime Silk Road”. The size of the bottom of the Y-shaped column supporting the ceiling is 2000*1200. In the design, the dimensions of the components are further divided by the grooves on the front and side, and the sense of strength of the Y-shaped column is displayed. At the same time, the inner groove is used to hide the downpipe. The other parts of the building adopt the folding board vocabulary, which reveals the simple and modern sense, and sets off each other with the soft and beautiful form of the ecological corridor.

晋江会展中心的展厅采用标准化、模块化的设计，每一个展厅在规模、设备以及消防疏散的模式上完全统一。展厅两个为一组布置在中廊两侧，中间以一条6米宽的疏散走廊作为分隔。每个展厅既可自成体系独立运作，也可与相邻展厅联合使用。个别展厅还设置了通高的活动隔板，可将展厅等分为两个更小的展厅，以适应不同规模的会展活动。在闭展期间，展厅可转变为室内体育馆，也可布置成演唱会、时装、产品发布会场地，极大地增强了会展中心的使用弹性。展厅采用绿化屋面来应对晋江市夏季炎热多雨的气候。

The exhibition hall of Jinjiang Convention and Exhibition Center adopts standardized and modular design, and each exhibition hall is completely unified in scale, equipment and fire evacuation mode. The two exhibition halls are arranged on both sides of the middle corridor in a group, with a 6m wide evacuation corridor in the middle as a partition. Each exhibition hall can operate independently or in combination with adjacent exhibition halls. Individual exhibition halls are also equipped with high activity partitions, which can be divided into two smaller exhibition halls to adapt to different scale of exhibition activities. During the closing period, the exhibition hall can be transformed into an indoor gymnasium, and can also be arranged as a venue for concerts, fashion shows and product launches, greatly enhancing the flexibility of the exhibition center. The exhibition hall adopts green roof to cope with the hot and rainy climate of Jinjiang City in summer.
