Sunflower & Umbrella inspired 'Sunflowerella'.
Dynamic Solar Shading Structure which 'tracks' the sun and shades the sit-out spaces
Piece of Art and Innovative Engineering as well as a Landscape Element for Public Spaces
A bunch of 'Sunflowerella' can be placed together and create a unique 'garden'. Very functional piece of art for public spaces.
The assembly rotates in two axis
1) Base rotates to change the orientation – following the azimuth angle of the sun
2) Stem rotates by 90 degrees – following the altitude of the sun.
Rotation in these two axis can cover all possible position of the sun.
Height and width of the members can be determined as per the geographical location and extent of shading/control required throughout the year.
Operating Mechanism using Hydraulic as well as cable system – customized as per design as well as functional and aesthetical requirements.
The inclination of Sunflowerella in both directions can be preprogrammed as per the geographical location and time of the day/year as well as the size and design of the system.
A sight to see Sunflowerellas play with light, dance to the music or mimic swaying in the wind – all possible with the existing technology.
