In Normandy, between Rouen and Evreux, the territory of Seine-Eure is structured by two areas, between Louviers (18.614 inhabitants) and Val-de-Reuil (13.793 inhabitants).
One of the primary goals of this project, following the previous studies, was to create a Bus Rapid Transit line from Val-de-Reuil station to Place Thorel in the town of Louviers. It also aimed to connect those two places of urban exchange. Moreover, the design also seeks to make functional the unused spots of the previous design, by giving modern and safer areas for pedestrians and bike riders.
The project is conceived within the inter-municipality’s land development policy which aimed to design the construction of a 9.5 km long inter-municipal backbone. Therefore, it is a significant contribution to reinforce the displacements within the cities. It equally contributes to the creation of an attractive and functional living atmosphere, consolidating the identity of Normandy.
