ME is a new concept store, offering a unique combination of good food & drinks and everything you need for your phone. The store features live repair services, wireless charging, personalised phone covers and many phone-related gadgets. The first store of 200 square metres is located in The Hague. Ninetynine is responsible for the interior concept of ME. The design challenge lies in the unique combination of hospitality, retail and technical support. The right side of the store is the retail and service area. The wall is covered with a floor to ceiling shelving system that extends across the ceiling. The repair and service counter is located along the shelves. The counter is manned by Dr. Me, the technical support service that repairs all types of phones. The counter also features the custom phone case printing station. The shelving acts as a false wall separating the technical service station from an extra living room, the back-of-house kitchen and a second repair office. The left side of the store contains the food & beverage counter and café seating. This entire area is placed on a podium, mimicking the opposite shape of the lower lamella ceiling on the right. The front of the podium features a high reading table with integrated tablets, headphones and wireless chargers. The back of the podium contains eight-metre long fixed banquet seating with round coffee tables. A central seating object connects the two areas. It contains different types of seating on both sides combined with a number of hanging light bulbs suspended from a copper tube. A second reading table is positioned along the back wall.
