The Spa Dreaming Centre is a tranquil private area at the Peninsula Hot Springs for guests aged 16 and older. Guests to the Spa Dreaming Centre Here can immerse themselves in a number of wellness experiences, from both indoor and outdoor private geothermal mineral pools, and baths to infrared saunas, Moroccan hammams, and zen chi massage machines. It also features a dining experience featuring seasonal produce harvested on site, with the menu designed around boosting immunity and overall well-being.
Our design incorporates recycled timber, rusted steel, and natural lime wash painted walls to achieve a harmonious blend of aesthetics, beckoning guests to relax their minds and bodies within the natural surroundings.
The intricate retail shelving was designed to draw the eye upward with vertical rusted metal posts, complementing the building's arched ceiling. The use of stained recycled wood grounds the space, while textured earth pigment on the walls fosters a connection to the natural environment. The shelving is not only practical but also inviting, with rounded timber display shelves encouraging customers to touch and try the products. The joinery captures the subtle interplay of the Five Elements – Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood – fostering a sense of calm connection to the surroundings.
The methodology of creating balance and flow through elemental principles is deeply embedded in our design philosophy, which we refer to as Design Acupuncture – a fusion of Body, Space, Spirit, and Place.
