THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE BOX REVOLVES AROUND A SIMPLE CONCEPT: LESS, BUT BETTER
We focused on our way of travelling, living experiences and discovering the uniqueness of places, on what people really need when they are far from home: comfort, beauty and human connections.
Following an eight-month overhaul, the shell of the formerly abandoned Hotel Sixty, in the seaside Italian town of Riccione, has been given a new lease of life as The Box.
An eclectic, global mix of furnishings dot the property’s spacious public areas and 40 guestrooms. From the brass handmade lamps –of Lebanese lighting company PSLab – to bedside tables from Moroso, and seating from Knoll and Poland’s 366 Concept, international design cooperation is fully on display.
Focal point of the project is the restaurant & cocktail bar on the ground floor MAD Meet And Drink, where hotel guests and locals alike are encouraged to start the day brunching an avocado toast, meeting for a cocktail or a fusion dinner or for a ping pong match.
