Re-design of existing mountain hotel located in the beautiful surrounding of Tatra mountains in Zakopane, Poland.Hotel's concept was a subject of my master degree diploma in Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland.Building's main solid was enriched by irregular, wooden shape hiding indoor swimming pool inside and passing into some kind of growth on the building and making new terrace.Space scheme inside the building was completely changed, most of partitions were removed and replaced by new walls to acomplish new functional scheme idea.Now in the ground floor area we can find swimming pool with the whole sanitary infrastructure, entrance hall with reception desk and SPA area - Kalatówki Body & Mind Institute.Restaurant, bar and conference room is loceted on the 1st floor.2nd floor is fully designed for hotel's room with bathrooms.Concept was meant to be a fusion of contemporary interior design and wonderful, rich polish mountain architecture. With the whole respect for tradition, natural materials like: wood, stone, animal skins in the company of traditional patterns were combined with modern materials, furnishing and details making a place different than others ready to acomodate mountain lovers.
