The school covers an area of about 1 hectare and is surrounded by a high wall to protect students from outside threats.The school has a long classroom block, one block for grade 1 and 2 students. The block has 4 classrooms, equipped with desks, chairs, blackboards, and electric fans. The school also has a library, a laboratory, and a small stadium.Most of the school's students are Hausa, the majority ethnic group in Niger. Students come to school from villages surrounding Goungou town.The school's students are mainly children from poor families. The children's parents are often farmers or workers.
