Labotory, a design studio based in Seoul, South Korea, has overcome spatial limitations through joyful, free-spirited interpretation and design by pursuing the realization of the space of dreams. Not satisfied with visual aesthetics, the studio uses a unique design language, impression and spatial nuance to express more mature values.

Labotory在位于Hongdae区的一个零售空间项目Musinsa Standard中，设置了“撕裂时间”的口号，将时间的概念，在空间中诠释为他们自己的设计语言，旨在永恒。

Labotory's Musinsa Standard, a retail space project located in Hongdae district, set up the slogan of "tearing time", interpreting the concept of time in space as their own design language, aiming at eternity.

“Musinsa Standard Hongdae”由地下1 ~ 2层、中间1.5层等组成，共4层。从一楼开始，通向现在的一楼、未来的1.5层、现在的二楼和过去的第一层地下室，这样的循环被表达为一种时间的叙事。特别是从地下1层到地上2层的媒体塔，让人联想起Stanley Kubrick在《2001太空漫游》中的“巨石”。同时，它用三种设计语言来表达时间：材料、结构和光线。

Musinsa Standard Hongdae consists of one to two floors underground and one anda half floors in the middle. The cycle from the first floor to the present first floor, the future 1.5 floors, the present second floor and the past first basement is expressed as a narrative of time. In particular, the media tower, which runs from one floor underground to two floors above ground, reminds us of the "Rock" in Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. At the same time, it expresses time in three design languages: material, structure and light.

首先，随着时间的流逝，从过去到现在，再到未来，它由粗糙的，带有过去痕迹的触摸材料变成了光滑的金属材料，改变了每一层的时间表达。其次，通过大小体量结构的重叠和分割，表现时间的分散，并通过楼梯的结构形态抽象表达时间之间的联系。

First, over time, from the past to the present to the future, it changes from a rough, tactile material with traces of the past to a smooth metal material, changing the expression of time in each layer. Secondly, through the overlapping and division of the structure of the large and small volumes, the dispersion of time is expressed, and the connection between time is abstractly expressed through the structural form of the staircase.

第三，Labotory以不同的方式来表达了光，这是一个显示时间流逝的元素。天花板上的钢百叶窗和织物的过滤表达了梦幻和模糊的感觉，展示了现在。直接投射的光线从1.5层的底部升起，并通过一层光片段表达过去。

Third, Labotory expresses light in different ways, which is an element that shows the passage of time. Steel shutters and fabric filters on the ceiling express dreamlike and fuzzy feelings that reveal the present. The direct projection of light rises from the bottom of the 1.5 layer and expresses the past through a layer of light fragments.

最后，Labotory用自己的设计语言诠释了时间的概念，表达了“打破时间，打破时间”的理念，并试图通过Musinsa Standard向客户传递一个有价值的永恒品牌身份。

Finally, Labotory interprets the concept of time with his own design language, expressing the concept of "breaking time, breaking time", and tries to convey a valuable and eternal brand identity to customers through Musinsa Standard.
