In the areas surrounding Mexico City, various communities are developing as places for weekend homes of the inhabitants of Mexico City, there are various communities where weekend houses take place. The places for this programs are chosen primarily for their proximity and for the climatic conditions that allow interaction with the exterior and the clean air throughout the whole year. The commission consisted in a proposal for a house under a weekend program at a near town, Tepoztlan, within the state of Morelos.

The property extends to 3,000 sqm. The footprint of the house is arranged upon a series of platforms, that takes advantage of the natural topography of the site. The house core is thought as a pavilion that opens to the exterior areas in its long face, providing a relationship between the outdoor areas and the public program of the house.

To acces the private areas, bedrooms, the path is through a sequence of patios that ends at a back outdoor space, constantly relating each space and promenade to the magnificent scenery.

The vegetation and the materials – stone walls, adobe colored CMU, concrete slabs – mimic each other in tones and textures to provide a continuity and a single space that confines indoor and outdoor spaces.
