CAESARSTONE STUDENT DESIGN COMPETITION 2017  |   FINALIST + WINNERLEAFEDUCATION + INCUBATION/ DESIGN CONCEPT: INTERSECTION _ In our everyday lives we constantly come across intersections in both figurative and literal forms. Lines of latitude and longitude that intersect at a certain point, time or place. The purpose of this project is to design a space that creates a harmonious intersection to encourage interaction between human, the built environment and nature. The design idea was to juxtapose modern architecture against the natural environment of the Overberg. The space is to be seen as beacon where knowledge will be cultivated and nurtured to ultimately create a system of self-sufficiency.
