This restaurant marks the debut of BavinDoor’s Sichuan restaurant in Shanghai. The cosmopolitan city of Shanghai is avant-garde, modern, and also diverse, true to the general public’s style.
而我们需要在这样的背景下，展现出川西的悠然自在，以及百菜百味的生活美学。
Against such a backdrop, we need to show the carefree genre of Western Sichuan, as well as the beauty of life that is contained in various dishes.
木质的构成，半透翻板玻璃窗的区隔，亲和的距离关系，是我们设计柴门上海餐厅的形式思路，也更是我们想展现的一种松弛的生活方式。
The wood structure, semi-transparent partitions for panes, a distance that allows for enough affinity, are all parts of our design concept for the appearance of this Bavin Door restaurant in Shanghai. They also contribute to a relaxed lifestyle that we intend to showcase.
这已经不再是简单的商业室内设计，而是夹带著情感的一次空间释放。
It is no longer simply an interior design for a business space, but an attempt to release the emotions of the space.
川西建筑的低矮尺度、坡屋样式是这次设计的重要归纳语言。被重新演绎的支摘窗呈现出序列式的组合形态，其意义在于人们能更大的以开放、轻松的心情，体会川菜的一招一式。
The low size and sloping houses of the Western Sichuan architecture constitute the important keynote for our design language. Besides, the innovative design of the removable windows presents a pattern of combined sequences, with a view to enabling diners to experiencing every feature of Sichuan-style dishes in a more open and relaxed mood.
