每一座城市，都会有那么几处标杆型地块，它的存在即意味着这个城市的高端圈层、顶级资源，它的名字本身就是品质生活的象征。本次 DIA 参与室内设计的星湖湾项目就是这样一个对标深圳湾、代言新宁波的标杆项目。

In every city, there will be several benchmarking plots, whose existence means the high-end circles and top resources of the city. Its name itself is a symbol of quality life. The Xinghu Bay project in which DIA participated in interior design is such a benchmarking project for Shenzhen Bay and representing the new Ningbo. Xinghu Bay is located in the center of the first plate of Yuyao River in Ningbo, surrounded by water on three sides. It is the eighth series of "Big River" works of China Resources East China. It is an urban complex project with high-end residential, commercial, office and boutique hotel planned.

而作为整个项目最重要的形象展示窗口，总面积约 1000 方的 2 层小楼售楼处却是个“小而精”的所在。在约 29 米长、18 米宽的方形玻璃幕墙建筑体内，需要展示整个大地块的现代风格和城市精品气质，它需要设计师对项目的精髓有着犀利、深邃的理解，并以浪漫的手法浓缩于一篇精彩的现代诗。

As the most important image display window of the whole project, the total area of about 1000 square meters of 2-storey small sales office is a "small and fine". Inside the square glass curtain wall of about 29 meters long and 18 meters wide, the modern style and urban quality of the whole lot need to be displayed. It requires the designer to have a sharp and profound understanding of the essence of the project, and to be condensed in a romantic way into a wonderful modern poem.

理解 DIA 的这个设计不能仅仅只看室内：这个小体量长方体建筑三面是幕墙一面是实体。它的前方、左右两侧都是相当大的平坦的地景（草坪和湖面），实体一侧背后则是工地。因此，最后方案中采取的室内形态其实是从“用景观的手法做室内”这个思路来的。

The understanding of Dia’s design is not only from the interior: this small cube building is a curtain wall on three sides and a solid one. It has a fairly large flat landscape (lawn and lake) in front, to the left and right, with the construction site behind the physical side. Therefore, the interior form adopted in the final scheme is actually from the idea of "using landscape to do interior".

可以把室内空间看作一个能遮风挡雨的地台式景观，设计师的意图就是让它融入景观，成为景观的一部分——自然品质的物质家园不是简单的将自然要素引入室内，而是结合地方的自然环境特征进行创造性的营造。

The interior space can be regarded as a platform landscape that can shelter from wind and rain. The designer’s intention is to integrate it into the landscape and become a part of the landscape -- the material home of natural quality is not simply to introduce natural elements into the interior, but to create it creatively by combining the local natural environment characteristics.

设计师没有按两层楼的建筑打开挑空楼板这样常规的思路来考虑，而是从整体出发：抬高的地坪在提供了随行走变换的视角、丰富的使用空间、交通行走路线以外，本身就丰富了室内层次成为模型展示的背景。同时它的下方区域提供了足够的辅助功能区域。

Instead of considering the conventional idea of opening the empty floor in a two-story building, the designer starts from the whole: the elevated floor enriches the interior level and becomes the background of the model display in addition to providing a changing perspective, rich space for use and traffic routes. At the same time, the area below it provides enough auxiliary function area.

在简单的方盒子中塑造出有意味的空间感，这并不是在平面上一个个功能块拼装然后加一个楼梯去二楼能实现的，而是从一开始就把两层高度作为整体考虑。这是一个设计师会不会思考空间的重要衡量标准。

A meaningful sense of space is created in a simple square box, which is not realized by assembling functional blocks on the plane and then adding a staircase to the second floor, but by considering the two levels as a whole from the beginning. This is an important measure of whether a designer can think about space.

有趣的是，在该设计成稿后的大半年时间里，DIA 经常用本案的平面作为面试设计师时候的快题考题。这既是对设计师对于空间创造能力的遴选，也是判别其是否认同理解 DIA 设计理念的依据。如果你也有兴趣去 DIA，试试看你会如何处理这样的空间？

Interestingly, for the first half of the year after the design was completed, DIA often used the graphic of the project as a quick quiz question when interviewing designers. This is not only the selection of designers’ ability to create space, but also the basis for judging whether they agree with and understand DIA’s design concepts. DIA 始终认为：人可以改变环境，环境可以影响人，而好的设计则可以重新梳理人与环境的关系。而对空间与自然的洞察力是一种设计师必备的修养，如同文字修养对于作家一样重要，一个具有洞察力的设计师会避免简单、传统、老套的方式，选择不循旧辙、复杂多变的创新方式，用富有创造力的表现去改变以及及去联系丰富多姿的人与环境。
