The couple sought out New York–based interior design Alyssa Kapito, whose eponymous firm is known for sumptuous textures in neutral palettes, to conceive spaces featuring her signature variations in tone. Kapito created cohesion by mixing new furnishings and artworks with antiques with period-bridging modern lines, placing pieces by the same designer in different rooms. She says the owners’ enthusiasm for the process and the synergy she developed with them drove the project from the outset.
