The goal for this project was to create two distinct but open spaces adjacent to each other. The clean, bright desk area provides the client with an airy space to focus and work. Opposite this is a cozy seating area with a wall of built-in walnut millwork, perfect for housing the client’s collection of books and found objects. Handwerk designed the brass cabinet pulls seen throughout the shelving unit.

除了空间布局之外，该方案还包括了饰面的设计、置物架的定制以及家具的挑选。另外，房间中还有一处十分独特的硬币艺术墙。

Our scope included programming the spaces, new finishes for all surfaces, custom shelving, furniture selection, and a custom coin art feature.

The coins on the wall are an installation of over 120 Morgan Silver Dollars that the owner’s grandfather gave to him, installed on red mallee burl from Australia. Handwerk designed, fabricated and installed this piece.
