From black, oolong, green and white leaves, to herbals and frothy matcha lattes, each of the shop's teas have been numbered according to the order in which they were discovered, tasted and added to the shop's collection
By turning its back on low-grade black tea – that is crushed and torn to produce colour and strength quickly – in favour of ‘orthodox’ production methods in which leaves are handled with great care, Good & Proper Tea brews with love, keeping delicate flavours intact
A full savoury crumpet menu has been conceived too, which is ideally paired with the selection of teas available; here, food and tea are carefully selected to be in perfect harmony with one another
Featuring exposed bricks, parquet flooring and whitewashed walls, the interior (and graphics) were designed by Peckham-based architecture studio Kennedy Woods
