Swedish design trio Claesson Koivisto Rune have officially knocked me dead with this sublime 19C apartment renovation in Stockholm. I mean, would you please look at this place? Un-fkn-believable! My eyes are literally bleeding from extreme love.
Although minimalist in appearance, this interior has been considered to the smallest of details. Masterfully edited palette of finishes, a meticulously curated collection of furniture & objects make this residence feel like a contemporary gallery for haute design. Kill me now – I love it so much! But what I absolutely love the most about it is that this apartment has a real sense of authenticity and moments of humility, carefully balanced with little shots of quirky personality. It’s utterly sublime!
The 200m2 historical apartment, dating back to 1800s, was originally divided into many tiny rooms. Claesson Koivisto Rune threw out all the doors, walls and floors, creating a huge open space that united the lounge, dining room and kitchen. The new floor is lined with wide and 12.5m long timber planks from Dinesen, creating a seamless base upon which the rest of the details are layered. Look closely in each image – you will see plenty of incredible details which aren’t all obvious at a first glance. Just like the hottest of hussies, this interior knows how to seduce you – slowly but completely. Nailed it man!
