The Elmina Hotel (port in Arabic) is located in the heart of Jaffa, a few steps from the Clock Square and the Jaffa Port. An intimate 10-room boutique hotel, in an ancient Ottoman building, facing the old city of Jaffa and the Mediterranean Sea. The overall look is both nostalgic and modern, an urban experience that combines oriental charm with European chic. The arched original windows, the flea market and the surrounding area have been a direct source of inspiration for colors, shapes, and sensations for the creative process. Stone floor facing colored tiles, Versailles parquet floors draped with colorful African rugs & textiles. Clean and modern style furniture with intense art saturated with colors and personal statement. These and more were expressed in an eclectic story of all the unique elements of the place. The roof of the hotel was designed in collaboration with architect and designer Ron Arad. As a complementary step, the furniture in the roof was chosen from his latest collection with Moroso.
