“Xanthippe” Restaurant Cafe-Bar
“Combining classic Viennese style with the nobility of the Old City of Xanthi”
Kyriakos N. Michaelides architectural studio MNK Design Studio undertook the renovation, redesign and renewal of Xanthippe, a flagship cafe bar restaurant of the city of Xanthi.
Xanthippe is located at the most beautiful spot of the city, 5 minutes away from the centre, having a unique view to the whole county of Xanthi.
The plan was designed having in mind the huge fireplace at the center of the space The design of the floor plan was defined by the imposing fireplace in the center of the lounge area, which separates the restaurant are from the bar-cafe.
Inside the restaurant, luxurious materials such as walnut wood in the central columns , velvet in cypress and red shades, gold brushstrokes in steel, the black marble fireplace and bar and the stone in selected areas give the necessary intensity to a space designed to be a modern place for dining and enjoyment.
The color palette is complemented by the painted wooden ceiling in white shades and the gray tile on the first level of the lounge.
The imposing columns, the large glazes and the herringbone green tile on the bar complete the image of a retro restaurant.
