Amonument to represent the blossoming and flourishing of the city of Tilburg,

“textielgroeimonument”（纺织品增长纪念碑），于 2009 年在蒂尔堡纺织博物馆实现，作为城市 200 周年庆祝活动的一部分。由于容纳纺织博物馆的 Mommerscomplex 比喻说活生生的纪念碑，是否有可能创造一个真正建立起来的不断生长的纪念碑？

a‘textielgroeimonument’ (textile growth monument), realized at the TextielmuseumTilburg in 2009 as part of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of thecity. Since the Mommerscomplex that accommodates the textile museum ismetaphorically speaking a living monument, would it perhaps be possible tocreate a growing monument that is literally built up from living matter?

Thenew volume can be read as an addition to the industrial complex: a shape thatbrings to mind the high factory buildings; a reprise of the building structureof the textile museum. The overgrowth lends to the monument the dynamics ofnature. It literally grows, and this ensures that it always looks alive.

它不是一个大而重的装置，而是一个透明、开放的结构，是一个将室内空间与庭院连接起来的平台。它提供了一个可能的连接纪念碑和建筑群周围开放空间的起点，促进了相遇和交流，并在此过程中采用了目前正在Goirkestraat开发的创造性公共领域的加速器部分。因此，当这个装置在未来将过去变得可视化时，这个平台将会是迈向未来的第一步。

Itis not a massive volume but a transparent, open structure. A platform connectsthe interior space with the courtyard. It provides a possible connection to themonument and a starting point in the open space around the complex. Itfacilitates encounters and exchanges and in doing so it adopts the part ofaccelerator in the creative public domain that is currently being developed inGoirkestraat. And so as the volume turns the past into a visible experience inthe present, the platform is the first step towards the future.
