In 2014, four portuguese living in Switzerland formed a start-up with the mission of reinventing the traditional commerce and create a store chain that would offer healthy and affordable food. Alongside demanded innovation – the combination of three areas in the same space: grill, bakery/pastry and a delicatessen based on the mediterranean diet.
Firstly, the layout was presented without the spot's specification and only posteriorly was found a space in Nyon, Switzerland. In its historic center and in a XVI century building, an area with 225,00m2 once a stable, was given to us for rehabilitation.
The first draft defined the store's division in the three branding themes and clarified the area (101,00m2 open to clientele). The project should offer an experience - where the client after passing the esplanade and the window counter should enter – based on attractive atmosphere, combination of the grill, the bakery/pastry and the delicatessen, merge between traditional and modern image, functionality, easy routes and maximum accessibility to the products.
Technically, its conception followed the objectives: energetic efficiency, aesthetic integration of pleasant and portuguese materials, the use of quality equipments, fast and easy execution that minimizes deadlines, costs and facilitates the company's expansion.
