JLA was the Interior Architect for this new 5,500 square foot house located in downtown Palo Alto. We were in charge of the interior finishes, color palette, and furniture layouts. The house features a large great room with open kitchen, a private study, a mudroom and a powder room on the first floor. Three bedrooms, two baths, and a master suite on the second floor, and a basement rec room and guest suite on the lower floor, complete this elegant home. A separate guesthouse is attached at the rear. Located on a double-lot, this is a certified GreenPoint Rated house, featuring radiant cooling in the ceiling, and computer controlled windows that open for natural ventilation. Clad completely in unstained redwood, the house was designed for extensive outdoor living, with an elaborate roof deck retreat for the master suite.
