A Parma-style salumeria and cocktail bar for Seattle's famed Chef, Ethan Stowell, Bar Cotto is a lighter, brighter addition to his collection of spaces. A white washed wood ceiling, white walls, zinc tables, and grey gloss banquettes all create a bright space. The combination of simple materials (both modern and traditional) reflects the attitude and attractiveness of the menu. We hand crafted three pendant fixtures to act as a feature in the restaurant, offering illumination and an organic interest. At night, the simple light fixtures and bulbs illuminate the space like candles. By designing an open kitchen, food becomes the center of activity in the restaurant and patrons can watch and fully experience the pizza making, almost as if they are guests in the chef's kitchen.
