A neglected warehouse apartment is transformed into a light and bright inner city haven for this mother and son duo.
A fresh coat of paint was applied throughout along with the installation of new carpet, window furnishings and lighting.
Our client’s preference for natural ventilation, even during hot Queensland summers, predicated the installation of ceiling fans along with plantation shutters that allow views from the street to be mitigated whilst encouraging airflow.
The existing kitchen was removed and replaced. Finishes were selected to bring light into the depth of the apartment and floor to ceiling storage takes advantage of the high ceilings provided by the heritage listed shell.
New furniture and artwork was selected to blend seamlessly with existing pieces.
