At the end of the project, a bicycle and a large equipment shelf are installed along with the coffee station. The cafe officially transforms into a garage and embraces the street with an open door. Pedestrians feel free to stop by and peek inside. Next to the entrance, bikes are parked at the bicycle fence. For coffee drinkers at Manual, a bike will become a conversation piece to start pleasant exchanges. Small as it may be, Manual Espresso Bar has gradually become a part of the city, and a special garage on the street.

地板使用的是仓库中常见的防滑铝板。这种材料坚硬耐磨，且将室外光线引入室内，在淡蓝色天花板上绘制光的图案，以工业风格的四壁为幕布投影不断变化的天气。
The floor is covered by slip-resistant aluminum floor plate, a common material characterized by its durability. It also introduces daylightinto the space. Reflections move and shift upon the pale blue ceiling, while the changing weather are projected across the walls.

施工完成的同时，一辆自行车和一个巨大的工具架与咖啡厅设施一同入驻。咖啡馆摇身变作车库，大方地向马路敞开库门，行人自然会往里探头一瞧。店门口时常停放着数辆自行车，店里的人们手拿咖啡，借自行车为题开启对话。蛮牛咖啡馆虽小，却已化作城市肌理的一部分，慢慢开始成为街道的“车库”。

Manual Espresso Bar is a tiny cafe at the foot of a pale blue apartment building. With a history dating back to 1912, the apartment is on Yanqing Road within the former French Concession. Along the street, there are cafes and fashion boutiques where young people gather, as well as fruit shops and grocery stores where elderly people frequent. Whether new or old, different lifestyles hereby mix and mingle.

我的客户，也是我的朋友对咖啡馆提出了一系列改装想法，例如在店内布置自己喜爱的自行车、使用平梁板混凝土等等。以这些点子为基础，我们进一步展开了讨论和探索。
My client, who is also my friend, proposed several interesting ideas at the beginning of the project, such as decorating the interior space with his favorite bicycles and employing flat cement slabs. We pushed our discussion and exploration further based on these points.

原店铺空间虽然直接向路面打开，但室内比街道低了一个台阶，偏矮的天花板给人一种昏暗的印象。在思考设计要求、用地以及与城市关系的过程中，我们产生了一个想法，那就是设计一个像车库似的咖啡馆，借此营造自由随性的氛围。
Though opened towards the street, the original space was comparatively lower than the street level, which resulted in low ceilings and insufficient light. Taking design function, space and urban environment into account, we decided to create a garage cafe and keep it casual.
这是一家水蓝色公寓脚下的小小咖啡馆，公寓位于旧法租界延庆路边，始建于1912年。弯曲的街道两侧，除了有年轻人聚集的咖啡馆和服装店，还有老人们每日必去的水果店和菜市场。在这里，新与旧因生活而相聚。

咖啡馆入口处设有铁板制折叠门，与相邻的水果店一样向街道敞开。吧台和长椅依墙而建，使空间中心部分得到最大程度的利用。中心停放着一辆带轮子的工作台，可以根据需要灵活移动，有活动时也能够推到室外使用。
The iron folding shutter entrance opens towards the street in parallel with the neighboring fruit shop. Coffee counter and long benches line up against the walls, maximizing space efficiency. A service trolley takes center stage, which can be rolled out to open space for special events.
