The CDTG project placed unique demands on the designers due to the high degree of complexity and mutual complementarity of the tasks. He had to combine the need to design modernly equipped ceramic workshops intended to present traditional methods of making ceramics and exhibition spaces showcasing the achievements of several dozen entities producing Bolesławiec ceramics. On this scale for the first time.
Technology, crafts, education, art, history and modernity in one place. Moreover, in a historic building. All in the atmosphere of a living workshop, a direct and unique personal experience of the touch of clay.
We managed to create a functional space for the magic of transforming soft matter into a durable object happening before our eyes. A place where a participant in the extremely interesting process of making ceramics is its creative subject.
Another TOYA DESIGN project created for the conscious user. Our goal is to design for an active recipient in understanding their needs and opening new areas of perception for them. It is extremely nice to see the involvement of especially the youngest recipients, who flock to the workshops. We invite you to Bolesławiec to the Center of Ancient Pottery Techniques for an encounter with a still living craft, where the practice of a hand-made object turns into art.
