Mystique Luxury Collection Hotel in Oia, Santorini is a unique place by itself.

The smooth earthy color of the hotel brings serenity to the eye and grounds you, making you one with the island.

The irregularity of the scenery made me decide to be more abstract with my compositions and try to catch the light  the right moment, when the shadows became almost unrealistic.

Styling the shots and using people was not the objective of the shooting based on the guidelines that we got from Starwood Hotel’s & Resorts hotel chain.

The main reason is for the company to keep the final images as simple as possible and in that way to make them timeless and use them more in social media.

In the rooms we used the natural light and filled the darker spots with broad artificial light with the same color temperature and in some shots we deliberately created some extra shadows to break the whiteness.
