As the hotel rooms were designed to answer a series of demands not only for formaluses, but also for landscape and technology requirements, we decided to start withthe interior design, carve into the main platform, which kept the verticalelements from interrupting the landscape view. This crystal structure has beenincorporated in the scope of solar panels and was fitted with clear resin. Itis currently being tested by the University of Tel Aviv in order to certify its100% diffuse radiation rate; the total required for consumption and mobility. On the inside, such crystals would be equipped with Smart Film to control thetransparency for the user's choice privacy level, allowing selections from acompletely private space to an open one of 360 degrees. The second building is based mainly for commercial use, with the clearintention of preserving the remaining historic buildings from being occupied. Thisstructure will produce a series of platforms that re-configure the space as theseason demands. The third building will host the Hot Springs and Spa. Thisbuilding is unique as it is located at the exact point (on the west coast ) at aspoil thermal removal that once served the Roman baths located in the northwhere ruins of the original bath can still be seen. From this main structure aset of pools will be built in order to allow outdoor enjoyment during goodweather conditions. Finally, each building operates independently from the lake, without using anywater from it since each structure would be equipped with membrane reactorsthat would allow recycling of the absolute amount of water used by them. Inaddition to energy intake, the installation of transparent resin panels willgive absolute independence to the Sirmionian supply systems. The spaces betweenthese buildings have been considered as recreational areas as have itssurrounding gardens since they can provide access to certain areas of the publicbaths and the solarium. In conclusion, the proposal seeks to demonstrate that through alternativearchitectural design, results can be equally valid and even much moreinteresting under an energy efficient and strategic design perspective.
