This hair salon is located in a shopping mall in a residential area at the boarder of Kobe and Osaka.
In this city, classic old-fashioned retail spaces are lining the streets and the design of hair salons are all similar to each other. A differentiated design was required.
Several key words came out during discussions with the client about the taste and style.
Words like, France, simple, authentic and friendly.
I took in the surrounding environment, the other hair salons, the future style of the client, and designed with a French nuance.
The main theme is' Reflecting people beautifully and glamorously just like a painting in a frame.'
The facade is a big frame and simple materials are applied for the interior and colors added. The lighting works as an accent for the paint in a 'frame' and adds brightness and shadow.
Shade of the frame, the warmth of timber, the transparency of glass and mirror- these work with each other to construct a simple design.
Those who are standing, sitting, working in the frame are going to become part of the painting and reflect into this city beautifully and glamorously....
