Placed on the 44th and 45th floors, this duplex offers a panoramic view of the city of Mumbai. One aspect of the duplex is conceptually like a glass box. It’s treated only on the inner shell, floor, and ceiling in an understated way to emphasize the panoramic view.
The duplex is divided into a public and a private floor. The main private lobby has a glass door leading to the apartment, where as soon as one enters, they see the dynamic backdrop of the Arabian Sea. The user has an excellent collection of art pieces.
The entire theme of the house is kept neutral (shades of black and white) to accentuate the art. The predominantly white with splashes of black changes to predominantly black with splashes of white in the lounge area.
From the lounge to access the private zone, the bedrooms, there’s a staircase. Here, the addition of the colour red on the walls breaks the neutral theme only to come back on the top floor. The common areas of the private floor follow the same theme as below, whereas the rooms are designed as per the individuals. For example, one is predominantly gold and the others with more use of bright colours.
