casaEnne house project is part of a research program which aims can be both implementative and contemplative.

Implementative: the project’s organisation involved the transformation of an old building into the new living of a little values’s house;

Contemplative: the project symbolic’s dimension is rarely only metaphysical but includes a design approach. In our case is a research in:

- a dialectic relationship between new/existing building;

- transparency in the interior/exterior relation and the dissolution of the landscape;

- presences by underlining, a simply but complex, building through a tapered roof.

All the rest includes an hard practice made of cadences, light, shadows, materials and regular checks

(this is the thin thread between theoretical research and technological application).

 Gray architecture in monochrome / The value of monochrome in architecture

Monochrome materials in architecture (RAL colour code 7047 grey cement for this project) has as its goal to make a more ethereal and lighter building. In our opinion, the stereo-metric shape helps to freeze the shape and to mark the line between the new and existent.

Bioclimatic elements and design

The large glass wall, characterizing element of the project, dialogues with the micro-perforated aluminium roof. The strong roof projection guarantees in summer a big cone shade while in winter the sunlight goes throng the windows, transforming the living into a balanced solar greenhouse.

On the opposite side, the north facade, another glass wall allows cooling through the convection system.

 Dry construction technology

Steel frame structure, Knauf Aquapanel drywall system, Riverclak metal roof are the used materials for the building.

The wall stratigraphy ensure energy comfort thanks to a passive system reducing significantly the energy consumption, even of the existing building.

Il progetto casaEnne indaga la possibilità che l'architettura possa essere al tempo stesso implementativa e contemplativa.

Implementativa: il programma funzionale di progetto prevedeva la trasformazione di vecchi annessi diruti in un nuovo living di una bifamiliare di scarso valore;

Contemplativa: la dimensione simbolica di un progetto è di rado esclusivamente metafisica ma include l’approccio progettuale.

Nel nostro caso tale approccio è una ricerca di:

un rapporto dialettico con il manufatto esistente; trasparenze nel rapporto interno esterno e nella capacità percettiva di dissolvere il paesaggio; presenze nel sottolineare attraverso una rastremata copertura un volume semplicemente complesso. Il resto include il sottile filo che separa la ricerca teorica e l’applicazione tecnologica, una pratica spesso faticosa fatta di cadenze, di materiali di luce e ombra e costanti verifiche.

La valenza architettonica della monocromia

Voler pensare all’oggetto architettonico in termini di monocromia dei matteriali, nel nostro caso un grigio cemento 7047, è finalizzato alla possibilità di rendere il fabbricato più leggero, più etereo, più ameno: la forma stereometrica contribuisce, a nostro avviso ,a cristallizzarne la sagoma ed a segnare la distinzione con l’esistente.

Aspetti bioclimatici

L’ampia parete vetrata oltre ad essere elemento di caratterizzazione del prospetto sud, dialoga climaticamente con la copertura in alluminio microforato: di fatto il forte aggetto garantisce un cono d’ombra nel periodo estivo e lascia passare i raggi solari nel periodo invernale gtrasformando il living in una equilibrata serra solare.

Sul lato nord un ulteriore apertura garantisce il costante raffrescamento attraverso il sistema dei moti convettivi.

La tecnologia costruttiva è completamente a secco : struttura in acciaio, tamponamenti in Aquapanel Knauf, copertura in alluminio sistema Riverclack.

Il sistema tecnologico ha permesso di calibrare la stratigrafia per garantire un comfort energetico con un sistema passivo che di fatto contribuisce in modo significo a ridurre i consumi anche del fabbricato esistente.
