Influenced by industrial details, CRÈME Jun Aizaki Architecture & Design has created an escape from the bustle of New York City with their wood-fired pizza restaurant, L’Amico.
The award-winning L’Amico restaurant at Eventi is inspired by a wood-fired meal and the simplicity of a stroll through the country side.
The 1,700 square feet space uses the warmth of reclaimed wood and copper cladding to give a sense of material tranquility. A 10 person bar allows single diners to enjoy a pleasant meal, while the 80+ seat dining room accommodates parties of all sizes. The wall pattern, derived from barn door geometry, is echoed in the graphic concrete flooring. Crème has developed a contemporary walnut and blackened steel chair inspired by the traditional Windsor form.
Boasting two large copper clad wood-fire ovens, the first floor restaurant fuses New York City’s historic Italian culture with the contemporary; emphasizing freshness and simplicity that go hand-in-hand at this sophisticated dining experience. Crème received the 2016 Prix Versailles Special Prize for L’Amico’s restaurant interior.
