This duplex apartment was completely refurbished for a family moving to Hamburg. The two main rooms: 1. kitchen plus dining and 2. bedroom plus bathroom where designed axisymetric, as the given room shape demanded a strong answer.
The beautiful old terrazzo was accomplished with penny round mosaic while the rest of the extension of the old house was finished with 400 year old pichpine.
The big gardenlevel-room was diveded with a generous steel glas construction to separate the bathroom and the bedroom.
The giant round shower was set in the niche as well as the toilet. An steel-glass sliding door closes the room when needed. The fabricated vanity in matt finish und seamless drain is placed onto the surface of natural stone (taj mahal) in front of the room.
The kitchen and dining room overlooking the garden are the main room. The kitchen cabinets are ceiling heigh but not massiv as the matt finish merges with the white walls. The eyecatcher is the beautiful black stone used for the work surfaces.
