We completely renovated this 1940's ranch house which was dated, dark, and decrepit for a Los Angeles designer and repeat client who wanted an open light-filled modern living space to entertain in year-round. The new post and beam home has a clean sophisticated aesthetic with many extraordinary design features reflecting the Mississippi native Nashville/LA-based client's unique and eclectic taste––blending vintage elements with new distinctive one of a kind treasures and bespoke objects sourced by him. The beautiful custom work includes wide plank wood floors made from an old Tennessee barn, a beautifully restored barn door in the artist’s studio, a hand hammered metal fireplace and metal free-standing soaking tub, and handmade door pulls. The wide open floor plan flows from interior living spaces to exterior entertaining areas via dramatic floor to ceiling pocket doors at the back of house, and the exposed vaulted wood beamed ceilings create an expansive, welcoming, and yet elegant feel throughout.
