TELUS wanted to maximize the potential value of consolidating more than 2,000 employees in an all-new building. They found a strong alignment between their motto “the future is friendly”™ and Sweeny&Co’s design philosophy to create flexible, sustainable, occupant focused facilities. Together we identified 25 York as the most desirable site. Working with the owner/developer Menkes and their architect Adamson Associates, every aspect of the architecture was reviewed and refined to ensure it met the highest standards of quality, flexibility and sustainability for long term efficiency. Everything programmed space, from the parking lot to the new green roof was transformed into a clear victory for the developer and tenant alike. At the ground floor, Sweeny&Co created a fully contiguous 30’-0” clear height atrium, beyond retail potential, this space represented an outstanding opportunity for TELUS to engage the public, cementing 25 York as the TELUS Tower. The TELUS Hosting and Innovation Centres became integral to the telecom giant’s communications, sales and branding strategy.
