Joe Adsett

澳大利亚建筑师Joe Adsett早年毕业于昆士兰理工大学的建筑专业，曾在Studio 39和East Office Architects两家公司工作。他是一位热衷于亚热带现代主义的年轻建筑师，他的作品，寻求一种存在于自然的隐匿和谐，展现出极为出色的掌控能力，表达出其对现代主义永恒气质的热爱。

Australian architect Joe Adsett graduated as an architecture major from Queensland University of Technology and worked for Studio 39 and East Office Architects. He is a young architect who is keen on subtropical modernism. His works, seeking a hidden harmony existing in nature, show excellent mastery and express his love for the timeless temperament of modernism.

Joe Adsett将极简主义与自然环境的融合发挥得淋漓尽致，隐藏式的落地玻璃窗可开可藏，建筑在如此诗意的形态之下，体现了自然哲学的灵魂，在柯布西耶的设计态度中就曾有过暗示：“意志控制着宇宙”，可能大概就是这样的偏执狂，才能做出如此美妙的设计。

Riviera is the firm's latest project, located on Queensland's Gold Coast and surrounded by stunning landscapes. Good design is not only interesting in substance, but also driven by the basic idea. The house is presented with simple and efficient lines, and the architects envision it as a pleasant and comfortable place.

Monolith

北欧建筑大师阿尔托·阿尔瓦曾说过：“建筑中最重要的学习典范是大自然，不是机械。”Joe Adsett通过自己多年的建筑实践，建立了隐喻自然的和谐设计法则，比如在这个项目中，他从建筑的横竖纵深探寻设计的自然亲和力。外立面使用了木材，退台设计则使用了垂直绿化，入口采用了富有东方诗意的圆形天井。

Scandinavian architect Alto Alva once said, "The most important model of learning in architecture is nature, not machinery." Through his years of architectural practice, Joe Adsett has established a harmonious design principle that is metaphorical to nature. For example, in this project, he explores the natural affinity of design from the vertical and horizontal depth of architecture. Timber is used for the facade, vertical greening is used for the retreat, and a circular patio of Oriental poetry is used for the entrance.
