This is a project for a “commercial complex - open to the people and town”. It is located in a rapidly developing region in Sendai (the “City of Trees”), Miyagi prefecture. My approach is to design a landmark and lush green surrounding that gradually merge together. The design will be open to the surroundings and will connect the 5 occupants through a multi-story open structure and expanding work spaces.

「杜の都仙台」の開発地に建つカフェや美容室、コワーキングスペースを内包した複合施設. かつて仙台平野で用いられた「イグネ（居久根）」の景色を再創造し、都市の中に浮かぶ屋敷林として街のアイコンとなる建築を目指したプロジェクトです. 意匠と構造を兼ねたバットレス（斜材）のフレームが内部空間との間に心地よい半外部空間を作り出し、緩い円弧状のファサードが新しい風景となっています.
