Vinstrò is a bistrot/wine store located in Vasto (Italy).
It occupy a portion of an ancient building in the hystorical city centre facing the adriatic sea.
It is organized in two rooms for two different uses but with the aim to integrate them as much as possible.
As always our approach has been to design a few elements with the intention of not overloading the space and making it comprehensible.
The intervention consists of three parties related to each other by a hierarchical relationship.
A stained glass window, a modular system of wire mesh boxes and a boiserie.
Entering, on the right there is the open view kitchen.
It is shielded with a big stained glass window made of trasparent glasses, industrial glasses and mirrors. It helps to shield the kitchen and at the same time to reflect and expand the space in front of it. It also hosts 3 folding shelves to enjoy a cup of wine.
On the left there is the wine and products exposition area.
We designed a modular system made of metal wire mesh boxes.
It could be assembled in many ways and is flexible to adapt itself in time and space.
Modules are assembled in different forms and colours to underline its ever-evolving and playful nature.
The second area is the dining room.
It is organized around a bold boiserie that at the same time embrace and split the space in intimate and cozy corners. It hosts the benches and lightings helping us to underline the beauty of the cross vault up to the ceiling.
