In the foothills of the Bavarian forest, on the edge of a small town, this wonderful retreat was dug into a southern slope, as it were. The Munich-based architectural office dh architects carefully planned the bathhouse made of concrete, wood and glass with a swimming pond and also actively accompanied the construction. The architects have succeeded in creating a strong connection between the interior and exterior. A retaining wall frames the bathhouse and opens onto the slope with a view of the surrounding valley. The simple structure becomes a natural part of the landscape. Dense vegetation surrounds the swimming pond, provides privacy and the ensemble merges with nature. The bathing pond, which is an important part of the design, connects the house and the landscape. Light rooms provide a clear view and reinforce the feeling of an oasis of relaxation. The facade of the bathing area consists of structured wooden walls. Stone, wood and glass and water harmonize here. Materials and colors from the region.
