A modern take on whitewashed houses, for a new definition of functional architecture. An organisation, in sequence, of “in and out” façades. On the one hand, they demarcate a rational control of the space, and on the other, a perfect integration into the coastal layout.
Linea Light Group finds itself on Hellenic soil for a house project marked by collaboration with IFI Group, an international lighting design firm, and ISV Architects. The construction of a private villa, built ex novo, in a prestigious neighbourhood in the south of Athens, is but one example of functional geometric Greek style meeting Italian expertise, for a minimal union of great architectural impact.
An all-encompassing residential project. A modern structure, where light becomes dynamic in furnishing and functionality. Running along the outer perimeter, the first greatly astonishing accessory is a mosaic infinity pool that sweeps across two sides of the villa. The Atinox immersion products by Linea Light Group guarantee singular performance even underwater. The high IP level is determined by the tempered glass and watertight finish in AISI 316L stainless steel. The adaptability of Gypsum stands out from the versatility of the entire product catalogue. The downlight version is used here for the general lighting. The plaster blends with the existing structure, modifying the perception of the space and exalting the room with juxtapositions of light and shadow. A recurring leitmotif that is hidden by its plaster recess. Walking outside once more, the decorative role of the luxurious vegetation – stemmed by a charming garden – is highlighted by Clivo, expertly inserted so as to create visual effects laden with contrasts, thanks to its variable-range optics. Continuing with the elegance of integrating light in architecture, the Fylo product draws perfect lines of light inside the house thanks to its composition and simple installation.
