The Villetta -a small suburban villa- represents the archetype of postmodern living in Italy. The place is that of internal Tuscany, the context of a peripheral sprawl diluted in the landscape. The architectural features of the building support all the stereotypes of the Tuscan style, updated to the technologies and needs of this century.Architecture seeks to live the home as a fluid narrative, distinguishes the atmosphere of the various spaces and at the same time maintains some solutions of continuity between them.
The project is concentrated in an important revision of the interiors with the aim of qualifying the home through open spaces for convivial use. Where necessary, incongruous wall elements are removed by emphasizing open environments distinct from service spaces (integrated into the furniture design). We prefer different atmospheres in brightness and colors but linked by the continuity of finishes and design. The reception of the house takes place in a central core consisting of the living room, a single longitudinal place composed of a heterogeneous succession of elements: bookcase, study, disengagement diaphragm, integrated wardrobe, stone bench and fireplace, wardrobe. The entrance transposed on the axis is the beginning and the end of a concept of furniture that promises continuum in space and in its composition. The oak flooring, which absorbs the shadows and fades the edges, is found in the surfaces of the furniture lacquered in white or laminated with blue mist. The dining room looks like a pleasant and relaxing space in the colors of the finishes and the warmth of the lights, able to accommodate many guests.
The neutral polished grit paving with warm color points and the oak boiserie that marks the perimeter, uniform and increase the perception of open space. The double bedroom is colored in gray both in the walls and in the wardrobes. The large portion mirrored at the entrance tries to dilate the space and the linear light diffuses a diffused illumination of the room. The bedside tables consist of a continuous base and a fixed opal portion, further source of light and support for the room.Throughout the house burnished brass finishes stand out in punctual details within an environment that seeks overall delicacy and character.
