Architect:Angelica Picoco
Location:Monopoli, Bari, Italy; | ;
Project Year:2020
Category:Hotels
This project tells the story of an old building abandoned over time, a place that has finished a life cycle to start another immediately after its total renovation to become one of the most beautiful hotels in the town of Monopoli. Inside you can breathe a great harmony that envelops the rooms in a continuous dialogue between different elements: from the light stone floor that finds its balance in the dark shades of the parquet, to the material warmth of the microcement walls that envelops the rooms. The geometric profiles of the washbasins, the circumferences of the mirrors, the curves of the taps, the transparencies of the shower enclosures create a symphony of details that thrills the eye, which then remains only to be lost in the blue of the sea that can be seen from the window.
A project that speaks of Puglia, of traditions enriched by new contaminations, of design that mixes with the smell of the sea.
