Stainless steel defines the new image of the entrance to this contemporary art and 50/60s furnishings gallery located in Barcelona. A design focused on the expressiveness and reflections of this industrial material, associated with great designers of the 20th century such as Marcel Breuer or Maria Pergay, among others.
The striking envelope changes its appearance according to the light and shadows produced by surrounding buildings or elements, blurring the lines between the inanimate material and the animation of its sparkles. The structure, with a linear appearance, rests on stairs made of San Vicente grey natural stone. Along its path, the steps meet a glass window that aims to attract visitors’ gaze and serves as a preamble in which only a small selection of works are exposed preparing us for the main exhibition of the gallery.
Further on, an enigmatic corridor is discovered to which a simple linear metallic structure has been added on both sides to house lighting and guide visitors intuitively towards the interior. A simple installation that, like the art that characterises the gallery, seeks to provoke an immediate and affecting experience.
