Mescape Coffee位于北京昌平水晶屿写字楼的底层，场地内部是被三面幕墙围合的开敞空间；此次设计在改造中保持了空间既有的连续性，通过置入白色的几何界限使大空间分散为若干不同尺度的片段，并呈现出丰富的边界风景。

Mescape Coffee is located on the ground floor of the office building in Changping, Beijing. The interior of the site is an open space enclosed by transparent walls. The design maintains the continuity of the space during the renovation and spreads the large space by placing white geometrical boundaries for a number of different scales of fragments, and presents a wealth of geometric scenery.

场地的内部开敞通透、一览无余的空间特征使得私密性变得尤为珍贵；关于公共性与私密性的关系成为此次设计的起点。由此，设计在场地中置入若干白色墙体，在保持空间整体性的同时，切断了内部的连续视线，并形成若干不同大小的零散区域。

The open innerspace of the site makes privacy so precious; the relationship between publicity and privacy has become the starting point for this design. Thus, the design of the site into a number of white walls, while maintaining the integrity of the space, cut off the internal continuous line of sight, and the formation of a number of different sizes of scattered area.

在这些零散的区域中，空间的尺度与私密性主导了使用的可能，不同尺度的区域被不同大小的家具所主宰，而临墙布置桌椅的方式为来客提供了更好的围合感。在墙体与桌椅之外的边角，偶然出现的绿色植物再次压缩了空间的尺度，并留下可供人行走的路径。

In these scattered areas, the scale of space and privacy dominate the function of different sizes of the area to place different sizes of furniture, the wall arrangement of tables and chairs for visitors to provide a sense of confinement. In other corner spaces, the greenery again compresses the dimensions of the space and leaves the path for people to walk.

在几何界限之间，视线的阻隔并没有切断空间的连续性；在连续的空间体验下，公共性与私密性在不断相互挤压，就像是一片生长中的村落，内部空间在不断变化与膨胀，始终处于一种动态的平衡之中。在白色的墙体之间，路径呈现出一种不确定的状态，每个人都有不同的穿越方式，这些路径错综交织在一起，并随着桌椅与植物的摆放逐渐稳定。如果纵向穿越到尽端，一片镜面墙体扩展了空间的边界，把有限的路径带入到镜面幻象之中。

In the geometric boundaries, the line of sight barrier does not cut off the continuity of space; in a continuous space experience, public and privacy are constantly squeezing each other, like a growing village, the internal space is constantly changing and expanding. Between the white walls, the path presents an indefinite state. Everyone has a different way to cross, these paths are intertwined, and with the furniture and plants placed gradually stable.

在Mescape Coffee中往往出现更为多元化的情景，成为一处介于办公室和家的舒适空间，整个餐厅根据实际使用的要求，被划分为四个主要区域：厨房接待区、临窗座椅区、片墙区、多功能区；不同区域根据使用的特征呈现出各自的空间性格，并且随着使用的需要不断变化。

In Mescape Coffee is often more diverse scenarios, as a comfortable place between the office and home, the entire restaurant according to actual use requirements, is divided into four main areas: the kitchen reception area, window seat area , Wall area, multi-functional area.

自然风景不是单一元素的呈现，是多种不同秩序在不断叠加、不断制约中的生长；不同的时间、不同的角度、不同的人所读解到的风景会有着不同的性格；边界的风景可以是零散的画面，可以是空间的穿越，也可以是不同秩序的呈现

Natural landscape is not a single element of the show, is a variety of different order in the constantly superimposed, constantly constrained growth. Space can be a fragmented picture, can be a space through, it can be a different order of presentation.
